Friday was great. Went to Paddington Pancakes at OU with Emy, Jia Hui, Tasha, Nasha and their brothers, Renee, and Lala to celebrate my birthday, Nat's belated brithday and Ming's farewell. It was fun. Had a nice talk, shopped for a bit and promised to meet up more often.

Got part of my present. From Ming, Nat, Lala, Emy, Renee, Nasha and Tasha.

Came home (just like every other year) to find a present from my aunt on the table.

Got these from Aunty Gemma. (my maid) Pretty!

Thanks for the presents people! I love every one of them!

Saturday was my birthday. Woke up to find my inbox flooded with crazy, funny, you-are-old-now messages. Lol. Thanks guys! Went to IKEA in the evening to get Ming's farewell present. Then after dinner (and a giant chocolate cake) went to Nat's house to put Ming's present together.

Nat printed out all our crazy pics and we arranged and framed them up.

Sunday was the day Ming went to Kedah. Sad. Lala came to pick Nat and I up and drove there in 10 minutes, record time. (Don't worry, Ming! We shall go online every night. Shall try to post more often. heheh. You'd better too, or else!)

So, still having exams. One more paper (Econs) on Friday. You know, the only good (or bad, if you prefer) thing about exams is that that's when all the ideas start popping up. Everytime I try to study, a whole bunch of ideas come magically appear in my head...

Like..
"Why don't i knit a sweater?"

or...
I think I'll make a bag after the exams."

That's when all the plans start forming.

And so did this one:

Been having strange dreams lately.

Yesterday, dreamt that we(Ming, Nat, lala and I) went out to ou. So I drove. Except I wasn't driving a car but this thing which looked like a scooter except it had a steering wheel and a carriage attached to it. Yeah, weird. So I was driving when we lost our way and ended up in some kind of power plant on an island in the middle of a river. So we were about to turn back when I heard this loud noise, like waves splashing against rocks. So we got down, walked abit and came to this stream and there were these waves coming from around the corner(sorta like in LOTR except the water didn't take the shape of horses) with pieces of wood and broken stuff in it. There were people running away from the waves too. Then someone came and explained that little children were taken there to be tested. They were asked questions and if they were lying they would feel afraid and hence the waves. I pointed out that I didn't agree because they could be innocent but still feel afraid and therefore would be punished for no reason. Then suddenly, Pn. Low appeared out of the blue and said she didn't agree either because what if they were lying but didn't feel afraid? Then they would get away.

Then last night, I dreamt that I went to this huge sale in Metro and there was this whole rack of Nike sneakers, all of them from 60-130 after discount! Damn! And then there was this whole collection of huge T's (the thin, printed ones which youre supposed to wear something inside) with matching ballerina pumps. And they all had this fairies/flowers/ballet theme. And there was this pair of gorgeous red satin pumps that I wanted! In fact I wanted everything and couldn't choose! SO I was trying on all the pumps when I woke up! Damnit! Haha... But seriously, it was all so real.. can remember every single detail on each item. Even the price tags! Lol.

Hey, I know I have been rather dead for a long time. Shall try to post more frequently... Hehe...

Anyways, just came back from Cambodia. (went there for 5 days, with my family) It was cool - Nice people, good food... Literally too! Almost forgot how freaking hot it is back here... till I got out of the plane, of course. Lol...

Stayed at this nice, homey (and cheap) place, called Angkor Voyage or something like that.

The rooms were like those you get it any other hotel but in front, there're all these chairs for you to lie on. Felt so at home there. Like, you could actually walk around in your house clothes. And in the evenings, all the workers would gather around the TV and chat and drink beer.

There were these two guys who met us at the airport and showed us around the place in their tuk tuks(little taxis - motorbikes with a carriage attached to the back). One of them, who called himself

was really friendly and chatty. The other, whose name I don't know, was more quiet but smiled once in a while. They took us to all the nice restaurants and places where only the locals go to.

There was this place, West Baray, which used to be a water storage pool thing and you could go relax in little hammocks by the water.
Also took a boat to this little island in the middle of the pool thingy. There wasn't anything much, really. Just the ruins of some temple and a whole bunch of people selling stuff. So our two guides decided to amuse themselves a little.

The weather was cool but dry all the time we were there. Went to Angkor Wat at 4am just to see the sunrise and was freezing my butt off sitting in the tuk tuk with the wind rushing in my face. It was really pretty though,
sitting there and watching the sun rise behind the temple.
So I guess it was all worth it. Haha..

We went down the river to Tonle Sap Lake in a boat. People living by the river were poor... but very happy, especially the children who waved as we passed. It was nice to see them so happy and made me realise that eventhough we are very fortunate to have food and proper shelter, most of us still do not feel satisfied.

Once, we ate at this really cool place called The Dead Fish which had little platforms(with ladders!) for you to sit on while you eat. It was awesome!

Had this set where you had to barbecue your own food.

Brought home lots of baguettes!

All of us, outside the airport.
Went for choir practice today. Might have a concert(at my teacher's music school) soon. Doing some songs from the Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom's part is so cool but I don't get to sing it. Man, I wish I were a guy. Lol...

My cousin's gone off on holiday and left her dog at my house. Noisy creature. Keeps barking, even at the neighbours who walk within their own houses. And its not a big dog either. Its tiny. *sigh*

Oh, and I made a Johari window. So in the event that you are feeling rather bored/jobless, please fill it out for me. http://kevan.org/johari?name=morlygwen.

Ok, I don't even know why I'm doing this. Guess its because I'm bored. And I got tagged by Clareen...

The tagged victim has to come up with 8 different points about his/her perfect lover.
Mention the gender of his/her perfect lover.
Tag eight other victims to join this game and leave a comment on their blog.
If u are tagged the second time, there is no need to do this again.
Lastly, most importantly, have fun doing it!

My perfect lover will definitely be a MALE who...

1. Makes me laugh.

2. Is thoughtful and romantic and more often than not, catches me off guard and surprises me. Like, comes up with really meaningful (no, not expensive) gifts.

3. Loves(though he doesn't show it too often) and more importantly understands me.

4. Doesn't care if I'm the weirdest, clumsiest, stupidest looking, most annoying girl in the world.(which I probably am) In fact, he thinks its cute!

5. Isn't all clingy and possessive. (He has his own life and lets me have mine)

6. Doesn't smoke or do drugs... or anything of that sort. You know what I mean.

7. Makes my insides go all funny when he smiles and looks into my eyes... and eventhough others do not find him very attractive, I think he's the best looking guy on earth.

8. Is fun but also knows when to be serious. Someone I can talk to about anything and can trust to share my deepest, darkest, secrets/feelings with.

I tag, Ming, Nat, Emy, Roger, Tasha, and...(running out of names)... and and and... anyone who's jobless enough to do this. Hah!

So today, I woke up reasonably early, and went to the temple to visit my brother.(Or rather, my brother's remains) And... that's it? Going for music class in a while.(and I still haven't practised...*nervous laugh*)

Blah...

Of all days to go out, my parents just had to go(and drag us along) today(we don't go out often). Yeah, the day I have a horrible cold. So we went out, to get shoes for my sister and to have dinner.

Walked around te mall sneezing like nobody's business. And then, my dad just had to go order spicy food. We were at Madam Kwan's and he ordered rendang and acar and asam prawns. Yeah! So I sat there, sneezing and pratically crying and my eyes and nose were red and my hair was a mess and I had this huge pile of tissue on the table and people were staring, but I didn't care. Wasn't in a very good mood.

Man... I hate colds. And the things is, I get them all the time. I'm not normal!

So anyway, choir was cancelled today.
Woke up late, and went for tuition at 1. Was supposed to go swimming with Emy, Ming and Nat after that, but Ming got a cold and Nat had a backache(not like you swim anyway, eh Nat?). And then it started to rain, so we ended up not going in the end. Watched the first bit of Brokeback Mountain with Nat instead.

Then I was supposed to go for music(I say music because its normally a piano lesson, but sometimes we do singing and sometimes I play the violin) at 6.30 but when the time came, I couldn't find my books! And not just one book but the whole lot of them. They were just GONE!!! So my teacher wasn't too happy. But, I mean, its not as if I accidentally-on-purpose lost them because I needed an excuse since I didn't practice, or anything.(Ok, I didn't practice, but... I didn't hide my books or anything either!)

Then she asked me to draw pictures for the book she's making for her 4 year old class. And there's this song she made up, Marry had Little Dinosaur. Lol. Goes like this:

Marry had a little dinosaur,
Little dinosaur, little dinosaur,
Marry had a little dinosaur,
It ate my grandpa's house.

So cute!

So anyway, I was wearing my contacts(Yeah! Put them on for nothing, since I didn't go swimming! Heh!) and we somehow got into this conversation about how she used to wear contacts and every night, she was really tired and just left them on. And therefore, she never took them off until after a month! Damn! Didn't believe her at first but saw that she wasn't joking and...

Damn...

Oh yeah! And I found my mom's old knitting needles!(well, actually she found them and brought them back from my grandma's house... same difference!) Yay!

WARNING: Emo Nyat ahead. You've been warned!

Had a dream last night. Dreamt that my brother was still alive. It wasn't the first time either. Only, normally we would have all have thought he was gone when he suddenly appeared and gave us a shock. This time though, I dreamt he was still sick and we went to visit him in the temple.(where he went to be a novice monk for 2 weeks last year)

So anyway, I went to visit him and brought books and stuff for him to read and... It seemed so real that when I woke up, I was quite dissapointed.

Sometimes I can't help but think that if he were still here, or that if only I could go back in time, I would be nicer to him. That I would have the chance to say all the things I didn't say before he passed away. Didn't even kiss him goodbye before he went to Singapore for his transplant, because I thought he was going to come back safely anyway and so it was probably no point worrying.

But little did I know that I would never see him smile or hear his voice again. (however annnoying it might have been) And sometimes I fear I would some day forget the sound of his voice, or how he looked like.

Been feeling this way all this while but just never spoke about it because it didn't quite feel right. Sort of like, ruining everyone's mood.

You know how they say that time heals all wounds. Well, they're wrong! I used to cry everytime I thought about him. Then after a while, I didn't anymore. But just when I thought I was alright, something like this happens and I'm back to where I was 7 months ago. Like now. I thought I was over everything, but just writting about him now makes the tears come down again.

I did all the things he wanted to do. Finished his game for him, got all the songs he wanted... But it doesn't feel like its enough because nothing I ever say or do is going to bring him back.

I know that had he have gotten better again, he would have to suffer, because of the lifetime medication and not being able to eat all the things he wanted to. But nevertheless, I still wish that were the case. Yeah, selfish of me, in a way...

Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with six random facts about yourself. In the end you need to choose six people to be tagged and list their names.

Alright, here goes:

1. Having a colds is very normal for me. I can sneeze 10 times in a row and use up a whole box of tissue in a day on very bad days. Clarinase is my best friend (Sorry, emymsm, mingc and estilete. No offense!) and I've resulted to taking some with me wherever I go.
2. I am a very paranoid person. (Oh you dont want to know...)
3. Despite seeming happy and cheerful all the time, I can be a very emo person. Believe it or not!
4. I can't cook for nuts. The last time emymsm, mingc, estilete and I cooked at school, we ended up with food poisoning for the next three days. (But then again, she's not human.)
5. I hate people who smoke in public, animal killers and environmental destroyers.
6. I dream of one day performing a duet with Josh Groban or Sarah Brightman. (Yeah, I know, fat hope!)

Now lets see, I tag all the people who are reading this!
Woke up this morning (well, afternoon) to find that it was one of those days... The ones where I had to have a cold and sore throat (must be all the screaming from yesterday) and couldn't stop sneezing. Clarinase didn't help either.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, I realised to my horror that I had stumbled upon the monthly curse.

NOOOOooooo!
Its the curse!
RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

Ahem, anyways, its during times like these, that I realise how simple guys' lifes are. I mean, we suffer EVERY SINGLE month. First its the horrid breakouts, which looks like Mars exploded on your face. Then your bo... (Nevermind, we'll just skip that part) Then the cramps come (and for some people, headaches) as painful as hell and making you wish you were never born! And then the worst part of all. THE CURSE!!!

Then not to mention the pain of child labour and then having to lose your figure and all.

So I guess, (as you said, emymsm) the whole guys-having-to-pay-for-meals and stuff does seem fair after all.
Just came back from Genting after going and staying the night with mingc, estilette and emymsm.

Went there yesterday at about 12pm and after checking in and having lunch, the four of us went to the theme park. It was mad. We went on the Corkscrew twice and screamed our heads off, even at the most random times. (like, when the thing hadn't even started yet) Then we raced around in the go-karts and had to wear their soggy, squishy, disgusting shoes because we didn't bring any. Then we went on the Flying Coaster. That was real fun! Absolutely refused to do on the Solero Shots (hate heights!) or the Cyclone, the first roller coaster in Malaysia. (Figures... that thing looked ancient, like it would fall apart anytime!)

Then we went on the haunted house (Which was all dark and creepy and scary. We were screaming our lungs out and crawling around on the floor.. Well, at least, I was) and Ripleys.

After dinner, half dead from all the walking and screaming, we hopped on one of those slow rides and just sat there while it went round and round.

Watched Superman at 11pm. Found it really funny because his outfit was so tight that you could see the bulge in his pants. (Hey! I wasn't the only one who noticed ok!) Though they did try to cover it up most of the time, like making him pose so that his legs were covering. Lmao. And there was always this curl in his hair. Even when he was wet and unconcious.

So we were talking and laughing on the way up to the hotel room. Took the lift up and it was only when the doors opened, that we realised we were in the wrong hotel! Then we realised we didn't know which hotel we were staying at. So we walked around till we found it.

Only fell asleep at 4am and woke up at 11.30am with only 30 minutes to check out. Had ice-cream for breakfast and nasi lemak for lunch and then went on the Flying Coaster again. The people there actually recognised us (probably as the four girls who screamed the loudest and at the most random times) and there was even this guy who video taped us. (Don't ask me why... wanted to go ask him but decided against it.)

Got back at around 5pm, feeling quite dead.

Been in a rather foul mood today.

Well, lets start from the beginning. Needed to get some material to make a bag (for college) and a top (which im knitting). So followed my parents to send my sister to Kasturi and got some stuff while waiting for her.

Walked into this shop full of thread, ribbons and sewing stuff and asked for knitting yarn. This nice lady showed me to some. But when I was finished picking and all, this other lady popped out of nowhere wanting to know what was going on. So my mom talked to her, mostly in cantonese, explaining that I was making a top and what I needed.

The stupid woman then picked up my knitting (brought it along to compare the colours) and started telling my mom how she thought I was doing it wrongly. And my mom wasn't helping either. She actually agreed with the woman. But who taught me how to knit in the first place eh? WHO YOU TELL ME?! WHO?!?! And it wasn't wrong! But I mean, what I right and what is wrong anyway? Its like saying some pieces of art and right and some are wrong! Stupeed!

Then the woman starts knitting... Yeah! Knitting my piece! And goes on about how uneven my stitches are. And she says she thought it was too big. Yeah right! What do you think? I measured. So I told her, it was 8 stitches to an inch. And you know what? She counted 5 stitches (Yeah! 5!) And said it wasn't right. Of course its not right you idiot! Because its 8 stitches! Get it! EIGHT!!! Onetwothreefourfivesixseveneight!

And who was she to tell me my top was too big! How would she know? She didn't measure it did she! And so what if it was! SO WHAT IF I WANT TO WEAR A TOP WHICH IS TWO SIZES BIGGER!!! It's not of her bloody business! I just wanted to buy yarn damn it! I didn't anyone to tell me how wrong my knitting was or how uneven my stitching was!

And she even told me to use bigger needles! Like, I'm not listening to you, Ms.my-fashion-sense-is-so-bad-and-I-don't-even-know-how-to-put-on-eyeliner-properly! Like, my stitches would probably turn out huge on top of an ah-lian looking top!

What is it? You think that I look to much like a spoilt brat to not know how to knit properly? Huh huh huh? Or maybe its because I don't know how to speak chinese and therefore you think Im stupid and don't know how to measure my own work! Is that it? HUH?

And the worst bit is that I will always think of her when I'm doing my knitting from now on. Want to poke her eyeballs out with my knitting needles. Too bad I didn't think of doing that, at the time.

So anyway *on a much happier note* I got some nice (and expensive) denim to make my bag. Shall start tomorrow!
